Our beloved companion, Churchill, who came to us via Chuck’s friends Adam and Lorrel, will be dearly missed. Churchill was unusually friendly and gregarious, preferring to greet people at the door and to mingle with guests who visited the house. Even as he aged, his distinguished character was obvious to all.
The love we felt for him was returned in his continual attempts to lick our faces. He liked to move close at night to absorb warmth from our bodies, especially during winter. During the day, Churchill often rested on Ron’s lap and forearms while Ron attempted to work on the computer. Churchill preferred company during his afternoon naps on the bed… often insisting loudly at the office door that that particular service was required.
There is an enormous hole in our lives that will only smooth over with time. We thank all of our friends for their assistance with his often difficult care during our travels, and for your kind words.
